Dip Test

Here's a picture of the Sedition Wars miniature I tested out "the dip" on. 



I didn't actually dip the miniature, but brushed it on.  I used Army Painter Dark Tone - I think it came out ok, I was only going for tabletop quality.

    Very nice! Did you mix or thin out the AP Dark Tone with anything to create you dip?

      Nope, didn't thin it at all. Just brushed it on!

      Cool. I usually mix AP Dark Tone and Strong tone, thin with water then add some Johnson Floor Polish (to break surface tension), that way I get a wash/dip that flows smoothly into recesses and I can control how dark it gets.
